Field-data platforms · Geospatial mapping · Integrations · Programme technology

We build the systems that field programmes run on.

Farmer and plot registries, agronomic monitoring, satellite crop maps, and the integrations that put the data where decisions are made. Built in Nairobi; running in Rwanda, Ethiopia and Kenya.

  • 19,000+ farmers registered
  • 25,000+ plots mapped
  • Production systems since 2025
  • Registered Kenyan company, English and French

Our platform

OriginTrace: farmer and plot registration, agronomic monitoring and provenance for coffee.

Enumerators register farmers and walk plot boundaries on offline-first Android devices. Agronomists score Good Agricultural Practice on every visit. Cooperatives and associations get a clean register, plot geometry and delivery records that prove origin to buyers and regulators. In production with CIRAD-supported cooperatives in Rwanda and Ethiopia.

  • 8,105 farmers, 9 cooperatives and 11,348 plots in Rwanda's Lake Kivu GI
  • 11,000+ farmers and 13,600 plots in Ethiopia's Jimma zone
  • Plot geometry in the form EU Deforestation Regulation due diligence requires for coffee

Mapping

Where the tea actually is.

From open satellite data and 16,825 hand-labelled fields, we mapped 282,727 hectares of Kenyan tea and compared it, county by county, with the official register. The gaps tell regulators and factories where to look next. The same method applies to coffee, macadamia and any crop a register needs to see.

We stay after go-live.

Every system we build comes with its operation: hosting, backups, monitoring, user support and the suppliers around it. For a small number of organisations we run the whole technology function the same way, from Microsoft 365 and helpdesk to the suppliers, licences and office moves behind them. One accountable partner, in Nairobi since 2022.

How we work

Scope, prototype, pilot, run.

  1. 1

    Scope

A written scope with the data model, the field workflow and the outputs, before any code.

  2. 2

    Prototype

A clickable prototype within weeks, tested with the people who will use it.

  3. 3

    Pilot

In the field, with real enumerators, real plots and same-day quality control.

  4. 4

    Run

Production hosting, documentation, training, and support for as long as the programme runs.
