What we build

Geospatial mapping

Independent, repeatable measurement of what is planted and where. We map crops from satellite imagery, validate the map in the field, draw field boundaries and link them to the registers regulators and factories already keep. The output is not a picture; it is statistics, datasets and a web map your staff can use.

What we map

  • Crop extent by county, sub-county and catchment
  • Field-boundary polygons for smallholder and estate plots
  • Factory catchments and delivery distances
  • Deforestation-risk overlays for coffee supply chains (EU Deforestation Regulation)
  • Change over seasons

Method

  1. 1Sentinel-2 composites at 10 m
  2. 2Deep-learning classification trained on hand-labelled fields
  3. 3Stratified field validation with county officers and factories
  4. 4Linkage to grower and factory registers, with personal data kept in country
  5. 5County statistics, GeoPackage and shapefile datasets, interactive map, seasonal refresh

Tea is outside the EU Deforestation Regulation; the certification hook for tea is the polygon requirement in sustainability standards. EUDR overlays apply to coffee.
